Winter Break is coming! We look forward to our Cardinals spending time with their families and celebrating the Holidays!

Our Winter Concert series wraps up this week! Please plan to join us!

HS Wrestling Update
The Lawson girls traveled to Excelsior Springs for their open scramble last Friday. This was a great opportunity for some of our wrestlers to compete against Nationally ranked wrestlers. This tournament does not keep a team score, seeing that they put athletes in pools ranked by ability.
Lawson JV also competed at Excelsior Springs this Saturday. We were able to get some great matches in and learn a lot. Though this is a JV tournament, there were some large schools that brought good JV teams.
Up next, both of our Varsity Teams will travel to Sedalia for the Battle of the Katy Trail this coming Friday, 12/16, and Saturday12/17. Start Time Friday is @ 11:00 am and Saturday @ 9:00 am.
Girls Results: Kyra Briant- 2nd (2-1) Jordyn Smith- 4th (1-3) Brianna Brimingham- 3rd (1-2) Josie Briant- 2nd - (2-1) Aliyah Jesse- 4th (1-3) Annalise Killinger- 4th (0-3) Sam Dreesen- 3rd (3-2)
JV Boys Results: Robert Cox- 2nd (1-1) Clayson Robb- 1st (5-0) Garrett Novak- 2nd (2-1) Brodie Covey- 1st (3-0) Nolan Fergeson- 4th (2-1) Max Baldwin- 2nd (3-1) Payton Vosika- 1st (4-0) Braxton Bye- 5th (1-4) Austin Kerner- 5th (0-4) Zalin Bennett- 4th (0-3)

Our HS/MS Choir and Southwest Singers did an amazing job tonight singing carols. #ChristmasInThePark. #WeAreLawson

The LHS Cardinal Book Committee sponsored a Merry Movie Event to collect warm weather items for those in need in the Lawson Community. Students enjoyed The Polar Express movie and a hot cocoa bar. Over 30 items were donated! #WeAreLawson

In Mrs. Nutter's 5th grade science class the students are investigating how shadow lengths changed based on the position of the sun. They used a flashlight, ruler, Lego man and a protractor to gather data and graphed their results.

Don't forget about the Christmas lighting event sponsored by the @Lawson Chamber of Commerce and the KC Chiefs meet and greet this Saturday, December 3. Mark your calendars!
