The Lawson R-XIV School District is excited to announce the long-awaited Grand Opening of the SW FEMA Building. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 15, from 5pm-6pm, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:15pm. The Lawson R-XIV Board of Education will also have its monthly business meeting at 6pm in the SW FEMA Commons. We hope you join us. #WeAreLawson

As the new school year approaches, so do our annual training with law enforcement. Please do not be alarmed if you see some law enforcement police cars at our schools or parking lots today. You may see their presence beyond today as well as we continue to keep our students and community safe.

Lawson R-XIV is hosting our New Student Enrollment this morning from 9:00am to noon at Lawson High School. Reminder to bring birth certificate, two proofs of residency, and immunization records.

Our amazing paraprofessionals spent today working with over 80 other paraprofessionals from Mid-Buchanan, Lawson, Trenton, Tarkio, Cameron, Gallatin, Polo, and Braymer learning effective techniques to assist students in their learning. #WeAreLawson

Lawson High School hosted its 2023 commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 21 for its 2023 graduates.

Lawson High School's 2023 Graduation is today at 2:00pm in the High School Gymnasium. Front doors will open at 12:30pm.

Lawson Cardinals are competing at the Class 3/Class 4 Sectional Track meet today at Warrensburg High School. Field events start at 9:30am and running events at 11:00am. Map attached for parking directions. Go Cards!

Students with 100% attendance for the 2022-23 school year had their names put into a drawing for $100! In the 4th quarter, 4 names are drawn. Congrats to Kade Gutierrez, Ava Briegel, Addison Bartlett and Sophie McCleary! Good attendance paid off for these Cardinals!!

The LHS piano class played their second annual piano recital today and did amazing. This class is a semester class and the students were able develop the skills to each play a solo piece! Quite the incredible accomplishment for them all Nice job! #WeAreLawson







The High School Psychology students had the opportunity to visit the St. Joseph Glore Psychiatric Museum last week. They learned about managing stress, as well as the 100+ year history of the St. Joseph Psychiatric Hospital, the evolution of psychiatric care, and many of the patients who lived there. Garrett Green received the Harry Young Memorial Scholarship as well as honored for accolades for his SkillsUSA contests.
Max Williams was honored for his SkillsUSA accolades.
Delaney Jennings was selected as the student of the year in "Teaching Professions".
