Did you know that between 1988 and 2018, the cost of a four-year college degree increased by 213 percent at public colleges and universities but wages for most Americans remained stagnant. But the cost for many technical and trade schools is a fraction of the cost for a traditional college or university, yet wages are just as competitive for careers in CTE fields.
Did you know that 43% of young workers with licenses and certificates earn more than those with an associates degree and 27% earn more than those with a bachelor’s degree.
And did you know that the Cardinal Career & Tech Fair will give you more information about programs you might be interested in. It will be held Wednesday, April 24 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the high school commons. Attendance is come and go, refreshments will be served, and parents and siblings are welcome (even if students can't attend)!

ALL students who have 95% attendance or better for the school year receive an ice cream treat during lunch.
ALL students that had 95% attendance during 1st, 2nd, & 3rd quarter are entered into a drawing for $50, there are three winners since we've completed three quarters.
ALL students that have perfect attendance through 3 quarters are entered into a drawing for $100, we celebrated three winners!

Tonight Lawson Cardinals hosted the Lathrop Mules but that was only the background story. Two communities came together to support a young man Patrick Hand during his battle with cancer. Spectators witnessed Patrick throwing the first pitch after SW Singers sang the National Anthem. Proceeds from tonights gate, raffle, and silent auction will be donated to the Hand family.

The World History classes did a simulation today where they tried to prevent WWI, acting as diplomats for their assigned country. 1st hour had some good ideas, but fell short. 4th hour struggled not starting war. 6th hour got the closest but was hamstrung by a treaty. 7th hour did not get close but did not start an entirely different war either like 4th. They had to study their country, come up with peace proposals, negotiate with other countries, and eventually give their recommendation for peace.
