High School Students No More; Class of 2009 Gains Alumni Status
The day has come for the class of 2009 to say goodbye to LHS. The graduation ceremony for the Lawson High School Class of 2009 was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 17. The ceremony took place in the high school gym with overflow seating in both the commons area of the high school and the Sellers Performing Arts Center. Prior to the ceremony, a video collection of baby, senior and other photographs from the class' school years played. The video is still available for purchase with an order form available through a button link on the high school page of the Web site. After opening remarks by high school principal, Don Edwards, the class president, Amanda Beers; valedictorian, Reisha Fregoe; and salutatorian, Philip Starostka, spoke.
