There will be NO spring play rehearsal after school today.

 Attention students that are participating in Lawson's Got Talent:  Please submit your music links for the show to Mrs. Covey by Tuesday, February 20.  We will be having a dress rehearsal for the showcase on  Thursday, February 22 in the SPAC after school.  Please bring all props to this rehearsal.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Covey or Mr. Thomas.  The show is scheduled for Friday, February 23 @ 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, which includes a dessert bar.

 Congratulations to Jocelyn Hazlett!  Her Patriot Pen Essay took first place at districts out of 202 other essays before going on to place 4th in the state of Missouri!  Congratulations!!

  FCCLA will be selling hot chocolate, cappuccino, donuts, and Ozarka lollipops Wednesday, February 21st thru Friday, February 23rd in the Middle School Commons. Everything is $1.00 each.

 8th grade students who would like to tryout for the Principles of Technology (Advanced Physical Science) class need to pick up an application from Mr. Adkins.  These applications need to be returned by TODAY, Thursday, Feb. 15th.  The PT test will be Wednesday, Feb. 21st during 6th hour.  You will need to provide your own calculator and pencils.  

8th graders: There are cheer packets in the office. They are due back by March 16th.

The Xi Mu Beta sorority will be sponsoring a dance on Friday, Feb.16th. It is for 5th - 8th grades starting at 7:00, ending at 9:00. The cost to get in is $5.00 per person. There will be water, pop, and candy bars available to purchase. Make sure your ride is here promptly at 9:00 to pick you up.

Hello and welcome to Lawson Middle School, home of the Fighting Cardinals. Our building is home to 424 fifth through eighth graders. Our mission is to provide the educational and social stepping stone for all students to proceed to high school with a broad academic basis, a positive attitude, self esteem and above all an eagerness to learn. 

Our goals and expectations of the students:

All students need paper, pencils and a way to organize themselves (binder, expand-a-file, etc.)  There is no set school supply list for 8th grade.  Kleenexes are welcome by all teachers.  Some teachers will request a few extra items for their classes. Please read all syllabi.  Thanks.
